​"Happy New Year, Success Partners. So, this is going to be a a big year for Bull's EYE Consulting and I want everyone in this room to have amazing years in their businesses as well and the way that we achieve that is by setting *Targets.  So my question to everybody in the room is, have you established Sales Goals for your business? Have you established Cost of Goods Sold Performance Goals for your business? Have you established Overhead Performance Goals for your business?

Your net profitability should not be a residual effect of whatever that's left over at the end of the year. Next week, you should have an idea of if this week has gotten you closer to your goal for the year, and the way that you are able to measure that is by establishing goals and measuring your performance."​

​"Morning, Success Partners. So, I have a client that has 109,000 followers on Instagram that is not converting into booked appointments, so we are building his lead generation process for him. Now, I've spoken about this on countless occasions, "men lie, women lie numbers, don't." If we're not analyzing our numbers then we don't know what's working for us and what's not working for us.

We saw that his comments increased 340% last week and when we tracked that down to the post that generated the most comments, we saw that we drew people in and engaged folks with the same format of picture that actually converted a booked appointment as well. So again posting out on social media is a part of the equation. If you're not tracking the data and what it's telling you then you're short-changing yourself."​

​"Good Morning, Success Partners. So, I'm a bit of a business therapist. What that means is...

So, before we started working together, one of my clients had been paying out 70% of what she makes on payroll alone. Her business had literally been crying out to her but she never learned the language of business in the form of accounting, so she didn't know that her business had been crying out to her. She just knew that every week when she sat down to make payroll, she was stressed at the keyboard.

What we did is put together the performance expectations for her team, had the first conversation with her shop manager where we set quantifiable, measurable performance expectations for the entire team so that we can hold the team accountable to their performance and what they're producing."

​"Good Morning, Success Partners. This morning, I'm going to talk about Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).

What your COGS is, is the measurement of how much that it costs you to produce and deliver the sale once the the business has earned that sale. So, as business owners, often times as we're building our brands, there's a lot that we give away for free. We're not tracking our time. We're not tracking the things that we're doing. We're doing those things for free.

Well as those things are happening, the brand is being built, and those expectations are being established amongst your customers. If you are not measuring the things that you're doing for free for your business, as it comes time to scale, you're going to have to pay somebody to do those things for you. To have a baseline of what it takes you to produce your sales is essential to the growth and scalability of your business."​

And in your vehicle, how often are you looking down at your dashboard? Pretty frequently to check your speed, make sure everything's flowing smoothly?

Now for those of us that are Business Owners in the room, how often are you looking at your financial statements?

Right, and there's a reason for that, and you can talk to him about that. Now, when you're talking about your financial statements, often times, there are indicators that are letting us know that there are problems within our business. With that, when talking about the sales that are going on within your business, it is essential that you have fidelity to the touch points of how many touch points that it takes you to convert a prospect into a customer because as people's spending practices are starting to change, you want to have the leading indicators on if your business is being impacted by folks not spending, as opposed to it showing up as a surprise on your profit and loss statement.

​"Good Morning, Success Partners. So, as we're operating our businesses, it can be very easy to feel overwhelmed and not really be paying attention to the economic pool that we're swimming in as a nation.

So as a quick reminder because all of these things impact our businesses. Our nation is $34 TRILLION Dollars in debt. The interest servicing that debt will exceed the defense budget coming up here shortly. The labor participation rate is embarrassing. You know, there's a lot going on out here, which means that within our businesses, controlling the financial performance (is of the utmost importance).

How much control do you have over your sales or are they just happening to you? How much control do you have over your costs and expenses or are they just happening to you? Is your net profit a residual effect or something that you're engineering? Those are the types of things that we focus on at Bull's EYE Consulting."​

​"Good Morning, Success Partners. So, this morning I'm going to talk with you guys about stumbling into greatness and the price of it.

If you do not have control over your business while your sales are not coming in, then when your sales start to come in, your life just gets more hectic. I'll give you an example:

I have a client that year-to-date has spent $43,000 on advertising and marketing and has no idea how much revenue has come in as a result that $43,000 investment. That is him losing control of his business. He has a work order system that gives him the ability to track where his leads come in and isn't using it. So $43,000 and doesn't know what the ROI is. That is stumbling into greatness. Avoid that by getting yourself a Business Coach."​

So, from the time that I joined the chapter, BNI generated business is now comprising 36% of my revenue so I wanted to thank everybody here in the room because that contribution has given me the ability to bring on my first Account Manager, which gives me the ability to reinvest back into the community at a larger scale, so thank you all for that.

Beyond that, as we are networking and participating in the activities that come along with it, if you don't know the return on investment from that time that you're investing, then you could be wasting your time. ​"Good Morning, Success Partners. So this morning I'm going to talk with everybody about the value of Standard Operating Procedures and the role that they play in scaling up a business.

So, the various roles that everyone wears within their businesses on a daily basis, as it comes time to scale and to put folks into those different roles, unfortunately, there is no common sense in business. So what you do not have defined in clearly defined performance expectations are vulnerabilities that are built into your business model that you're going to pay for in payroll.

So, think about Standard Operating Procedures as you're operating on a daily basis. Take a quick note here and there of the things that you're doing, and really define those things out so when it comes time to hire someone in, you have the framework to ensure that your finances are controlled properly."​

That friend of mine is also the contractor that I brought into Bull's EYE Consulting. So, having the ability to scale your business to the space where you can actually bring in additional folks to have additional impact on the community as opposed to being a 1 pony show where you're the only one that's really operating your business.

So, yesterday I had an amazing 1 to 1 with Dr. Deland (Carefree Chiropractic), talking about how on top of helping my clients to scale their businesses, I'm simultaneously scaling mine as well, which requires a lot of my time.  So, I don't have the time to get the Chiropractic services that I need right now; however, my short-term goal in my business is to buy back more of my time.

In last week's commercial, I ended with "entrepreneurs becoming prisoners of their own passion" so if you are a prisoner of your own passion, and you don't have a contingency plan to escape that, where you're actually controlling your business as opposed to your business controlling your time, we should sit down and discuss that."​
