HAVE YOU APPLIED FOR YOUR ERTC?

IRS Payouts Have averaged $10K per Qualified Employee!

Section 2301 of the CARES Act, enacted in March 2020, introduced an employee retention credit for eligible employers (including tax-exempt organizations) who paid qualified wages (including certain health plan expenses) to some or all employees after March 12, 2020, and before January 1, 2021. The Relief Act, adopted in December 2020, made amendments and technical changes to section 2301, expanding eligibility for certain employers to claim the credit for qualified wages paid after March 12, 2020, and before January 1, 2021. Section 207 of the Relief Act further extended the credit to qualified wages paid after December 31, 2020, and before July 1, 2021, and modified the calculation of the credit amount for qualified wages paid during that time.

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) enacted in March 2021 introduced section 3134 of the Code, which provided an employee retention credit for wages paid after June 30, 2021, and before January 1, 2022. This credit is in addition to the employee retention credit introduced by the CARES Act and amended by the Relief Act.

Does Your Business Qualify?

To qualify, your business must have been negatively impacted in either of the following ways:

  • A government authority required partial or full shutdown of your business during 2020 or 2021. This includes your operations being limited by commerce, inability to travel or restrictions of group meetings.
  • Gross receipt reduction criteria is different for 2020 and 2021, but is measured against the current quarter as compared to 2019 pre-COVID amounts.

A business can be eligible for one quarter and not another.

Initially, under the CARES Act of 2020, businesses were not able to qualify for the ERC if they had already received a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan. With new legislation in 2021, employers are now eligible for both programs. The ERC, though, cannot apply to the same wages as the ones for PPP.

A click funnel guides potential customers towards a desired action, such as making a purchase or signing up for a webinar. Typically, individuals access a click funnel through a link on social media, a paid search ad, or an email that directs them to a landing page that is tailored to a specific product or service offered by your business.

After arriving at the landing page, prospects may navigate through several additional pages that showcase add-ons and upgrades before ultimately completing a conversion. It's important to note that a conversion doesn't always equate to a purchase; it may involve them subscribing to your mailing list for follow-up engagement.
